“When my husband and I were planning our wedding, we had no idea how to narrow down all of the options for vendors and such. Luckily, our venue (The Hilton Mystic) provided us with a list of recommended, trustworthy vendors. I researched all of the options and it was very clear after the first interaction with Spin Enterprises that it would be the best choice for us. Neil was very helpful, prompt on responses, and was an absolute pleasure to work with. He gave us an easy outline to fill out to make the process much smoother. The music was fantastic and he used a playlist that we gave him along with other songs that got all of our guests on the dance floor. We are still getting feedback from our guests saying that they had never seen so many of the guests out on the dance floor having a great time (even the “non-dancers” in the family were out on the floor!). He also provided uplighting for our reception, which made the room so beautiful beyond our expectations. “I would highly recommend Neil Roma and Spin Enterprise for ANY wedding, formal or informal event. We had a backyard wedding and with Neil’s expertise, he made the day a memorable one. Neil is very personable, reasonable price wise and was extremely helpful. Whenever I had a question about something, Neil had an answer and was available to discuss things when needed. He also provided barrels for us to use as table tops and gave us a bar top to use for our cocktail station. He made us both feel at ease through our whole wedding planning process. When we met with him, it was a very productive and brief meeting and really assured us that our event was in good hands, which it was. His documents to fill out were very user friendly and helped keep everything organized to the T. He even gave us the mix of our cocktail hour to keep in commemoration of our special day. We planned our wedding from NJ, so it was great that Neil was easy to communicate with via phone/email. “Working with Neil and Spin Enterprise was effortless. His prices are so affordable and service was great!! I knew I wanted bistro lighting, but I called around and started to get discouraged. I was blown away with how expensive some of the other event vendors were! I was so close to keeping the standard tent lighting when someone recommended I reach out to Neil. I’m so happy they did!

I was able to not only have him provide tent lighting, but we added extra bistro lighting for the cocktail hour. His beautiful planters and posts for the bistro lights created the most magical cocktail area. Against the venue backdrop, it was a gorgeous atmosphere! The staff were super friendly and tested everything, leaving me with no concerns!! The barrel bar was a last-minute addition and absolutely worth it! “The biggest wish we had for our wedding was to have a big party where people danced all night. Thanks to Neil, we got just that. From the background music during dinner to the last song, we were singing and dancing the whole time. The best part was that Neil totally took care of everything. He was easily available all throughout the planning process. But in all honesty, we gave him a few songs to play and not play a week before, had a brief chat right before hand and entrusted him with the rest. “Neil & co. kept the music pumping at our tent-wedding on my family’s farm in CT. Our guests didn’t leave the dance floor empty & he kept up with an upbeat stream of dance hits. He and his coworker even were amazing sports as an unforeseen microburst storm rolled through and caused us to move his equipment further inside the tent. The night moved so smoothly and he just rolled with the punches as the quick storm made for a wet and packed dance floor. The ceremony sound system worked out perfectly and it made my DIY wedding seamless and stress- free. He let us set the tone on the dance floor and took memorable requests even playing a Norwegian song my guests from Norway requested! “We had a wonderful experience working with Neil! He is easy-going, quick to respond, and professional. Our ceremony was in the “Ocean Amphitheater” at Harkness Memorial Park and the reception was up in Eolia Mansion. We rented a gorgeous white arch from Neil for the ceremony as well as bistro lights for the reception at an extremely reasonable price. When we realized we weren’t going to use the cordless mics we had originally reserved for the ceremony, Neil was so flexible and gave us the option of adding up-lighting instead for a discounted price. I was so happy with this decision because the up-lighting really added a special touch to the dance floor. Most importantly, the music was perfect! Neil has a very skillful way of balancing what you request with what guests request on the spot. He knows how to pick up on the vibe, please a crowd, and keep everyone on the dance floor. “We were married in July 2017 at Mystic Seaport’s Lighthouse Point and the reception was at the Boat Shed. Neil did an amazing job as the DJ at our wedding. We booked Neil more than a year before our wedding day. Even so, he was very responsive as questions arose throughout the planning process. “Neil performed as our DJ for our wedding on January 7, 2017. There was a blizzard that day. He showed up on time, and stayed for the whole wedding, even though there was a snowstorm. He played all of the songs requested and had the crowd on the dance floor the whole evening. To me a DJ can make or break a wedding reception. Neil was a crowd pleaser and delightful to work with. Being a bride can be very stressful and one thing I did not have to worry about on our wedding day was the entertainment. He met with me a few days before the wedding, and was very easy to get in touch with prior to the wedding. Neil provided a great playlist and we even got a copy of every song played from the beginning of the wedding till the end. I would highly recommend Neil for any event and definitely for a wedding.”

“Thank you so much for making our wedding perfect! We had the absolute best wedding ever, huge in part to Neil’s DJ services!!!! Everything ran so smoothly. Neil was extremely easy to work with. Wedding planning can be stressful and he completely took the stress out of the music aspect of it all. He is very professional and organized. His expertise shined when he was able to get a very wide age group of people dancing, singing all together! He helped to create a timeline for the reception which flowed wonderfully. He offered suggestions for songs during special moments that I hadn’t prepared ahead of time. He incorporated all the artists/songs we suggested which ranged from Elvis to Florida Georgia Line; and pretty much EVERY genre in between. We had originally feared that we would have to come up with a list of songs for the reception, not the case, we did provide a few but we also told him artists we liked and left the rest up to him. We had an evening wedding, 5pm ceremony with the reception immediately following; Neil suggested and provided Ocean Blue up lighting which was so perfect! He provided DJ services, music and microphones for the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. He has a separate set up to provide music and microphones for our outdoor ceremony so there was no lag in breakdown and moving of his setup. We had been to a wedding that Neil DJ’ed which he had the crowd dancing at 1 in the afternoon! When it came time to plan our wedding, Neil was the first DJ we thought of. I would highly recommend Neil Roma, Spin Enterprises to anyone getting married. No matter the time of day/night - he gets and keeps the crowd going and he’s so incredibly easy to work with! ”

“Neil Roma of Spin Enterprises was the DJ for our wedding at the Inn at Mystic. Neil did a fantastic job, and we are very satisfied. He was consistently professional and accommodating throughout the wedding planning process. He always made it clear that his priority was to make sure that we were happy and to provide us with exactly what we wanted. He spoke with us several times prior to the wedding to make sure that he had all the information he needed, and always followed up promptly when we asked questions or when he needed additional information.

Neil provided the sound for our ceremony, including for the officiant, the violinists who played the processional music, and two guests who sang a song during the ceremony; everything went off without a hitch. He did a great job during the reception of keeping everyone on the dance floor — all our guests had a blast! Neil made sure to play just about all our requested songs, which was great. He also did a great job as the MC, making sure that the reception ran smoothly without trying to focus the attention on him.

Overall, we were very happy with Neil, and he was a big part of making our wedding extremely memorable!

“Neil was the EXACT DJ our wedding needed! From our initial consultation with him to the last song at our reception, Neil was awesome to work with though out the entire wedding process. If you’re looking for a guy who will keep even the most difficult to please aunt dancing all night long at your reception, Neil is it!

One key thing to mention about Neil is that he doesn’t just press “play” on a laptop and walk away from his work. He REALLY makes even the details matter. I can’t tell you how many outdoor ceremonies I’ve been to, where even with microphones, you couldn’t hear what the officiant was saying, or heard only parts of the couple’s vows. I’m happy to say that EVERY SINGLE wedding guests heard our entire ceremony, and its all because Neil made sure our microphones were up and working properly!

Another awesome Neil moment during our reception occurred when we decided to add a traditional Polish game to our wedding reception last-minute (literally, my husband and I decided this in the MIDDLE of dinner). Instead of saying “no”, Neil’s answer was “let’s figure it out, and do it!”. We put together a quick explanation of the game for Neil, and within 5 minutes, off we were! None of our guests knew this was all thrown together!

If you’re looking for a DJ that does not have to be micromanaged, that can roll with the punches, that delivers QUALITY microphones and sound at both your ceremony and your reception, and can keep your guests on their feet the whole time, look no further. Neil is your guy!”

“Neil was a great choice for our wedding in Mystic, CT. He was super easy to work with and took all of our requests. He even let my friend do the announcements for the wedding party. I know some DJs are a little particular with how they like to run events but Neil just let the event mold around us and our style and didn’t try to force anything on us that we didn’t like.

One of the greatest decisions we made was to add the bistro lights that Neil also provides for weddings. We originally had uplighting from him but when he told us he could string those romantic lights across our dance floor we could not say no. It looked GORGEOUS I’m so happy he was able to do it.

“Jay and I got married in CT, but are from central MA. We asked our other vendors for recommendations for a DJ and Neil’s name came up numerous times. We could not have been more pleased with his responsiveness and flexibility throughout the planning process. Our wedding day went off without a hitch! All of the songs for the ceremony were perfectly timed and the sound was so clear, which was important for our outdoor wedding. He provided a microphone for the JOP and readers, which was great because it allowed all of our guests to hear the readings and vows, not just the guests in the front row. Neil took requests but used his discretion as to when to play them so that all of the songs flowed from one to the next. “Our Mystic, CT wedding at The Boat Shed (Mystic Seaport Museum/Coastal Gourmet) was a truly unforgettable night made more so by the outstanding entertainment provided by Neil Roma of Spin Enterprise. Of all the things to do at a wedding, our family likes to hit the dance floor, and Neil kept us hopping! We had some specific musical needs (out of the ordinary), and Neil delivered on every count.

Not only was the music great for both the ceremony and reception, but Neil provided Bistro Lighting which was a perfect fit for our rustic, nautical venue. It added a simple elegance to our overall look and provided the special “extra something” to round out the decor.

Customer service was on point as well! When our venue informed him their polices changed and that resulted in a shift to our original plans, Neil provided a suitable alternative without missing a beat! In my estimation, that is the mark of a true professional!

“During the months preceding my wedding, my mother repeatedly stated “I hope the DJ is good”. In our opinion, the DJ can make or break an event, especially with families like ours that like to get up and dance! After the wedding, my mom couldn’t stop raving about Neil. Neil was really easy to work with and honored all of our requests for music, which were numerous since we allowed our guests to choose songs on their RSVP. Not only did Neil provide us with great entertainment, he also hung bistro lights throughout our reception venue. The lights were gorgeous and really enhanced the ambiance of our venue. “Neil was exactly what we were looking for in a DJ for our wedding. We needed someone with extensive experience who could provide suggestions on acoustics and lighting needs, as well as someone who would be able to help us make the music “happen” without very much structure or guidance on our part. While Neil played great music that kept everyone on the dance floor the entire evening, he did a lot more to help our reception run beautifully.

Planning: Neil is very accessible and easy to talk to. Given the smaller size and location of our ceremony, he advised us to skip the microphones, which turned out to be a great choice. He recommended uplighting at Eolia, and when we declined, he offered to do it - complimentary - because he knew how great it would look (and he was right!) What also stood out was the fact that he proactively reached out to us for further details and information as we got closer to the wedding. Neil knew exactly what information he needed from us, and he was off to work his magic from there.

Event: Neil knew Harkness/Eolia well, got set up early, and worked with us to keep the flow of the evening going perfectly. During the reception, it was easy for us to lose track of time, and Neil gave us a “5 minute warning” of sorts, then prepped us for what needed to happen next - announcements, toasts, etc. This really helped put us at ease, and we were able to enjoy the reception even more and chat with guests without keeping a constant eye on the clock.

Music: We gave Neil a song list, and then some very rough guidance for cocktail hour music (“something jazzy and classy”). Even with such limited guidance, Neil knew what we were looking for and made it happen. Many guests commented on the cocktail hour music being well suited to the event and the venue. And much fun was had on the dance floor. We had a wide range of guests of all ages, and Neil read the crowd perfectly. He was able to keep the dance floor packed and going all evening!

Last but not least, the fireworks! Neil found out about a fireworks show going off at a nearby venue that we had an excellent view of from Harkness. That said, we might never have known if everyone stayed under the tent, so Neil made an announcement for guests to check out the fireworks show from the lawn. Needless to say, our wedding became even more special, with a little help from Neil.

While we cannot guarantee that you will be able to see an unexpected fireworks show at your next special event, we highly recommend working with Neil. He is an excellent DJ who knows the crowds, music, and venues, but what really sets him apart is his experience, his flexibility, and his easygoing demeanor. It made all the difference for us, and it helped us have an especially enjoyable and memorable event. Thanks Neil!”

“Out of all of the vendors we worked with for our wedding, Neil was by far the best. He was confident that he could provide exactly what we had in mind, was priced very competitively, and always returned phone calls and emails quickly. We had originally booked Neil for just the reception but when the musician we had in mind for the ceremony told us she couldn’t make it just a month before the wedding, Neil happily agreed to be at the ceremony also. What a relief!

When our limousine got lost on the way to the ceremony site, Neil kept everyone entertained and happy with a great selection of music. He also happened to be playing my favorite song when my limo finally found its way to its destination 45 minutes late and that got me focused and composed enough to walk down the aisle.
